This Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data when you visit our website at jarnis.io.

3. Categories of data we process

Depending on how you use the website, we may process:

  • Usage / log data: IP address, date and time of access, requested URL/resource, HTTP status, referrer URL, user agent.
  • Contact data: name, e-mail address, message content.
  • Device storage data: consent choices and language preference.
  • Account / product data: if you later register for our services.

4. Purposes and legal bases

  • Website operation, security, and abuse prevention (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Communication / pre-contractual enquiries (Art. 6(1)(b) and/or (f) GDPR).
  • Strictly necessary storage on your device (TKG exception + Art. 6 GDPR as applicable).
  • Optional functional storage (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR + TKG consent).
  • Optional analytics / performance measurement (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR + TKG consent). No analytics tool is currently active.
  • Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

5. Cookies, local storage and similar technologies

We use a self-hosted consent interface.

  • jarnis_cookie_consent (local storage).
  • jarnis_lang (local storage).

Categories in the banner:

  • Necessary: always active.
  • Functional: only with consent.
  • Analytics & performance: only with consent; currently not deployed.

You can change or withdraw consent at any time via Cookie settings.

6. Recipients and processors

We do not sell your personal data. Data may be disclosed to:

Our intention is to host the website in Austria / the EU. Where third-party providers process data outside the EEA, transfers rely on adequacy decisions or appropriate safeguards (e.g. SCCs).

8. Retention

Server logs are typically retained only as needed for security (indicative: up to 30 days). Contact correspondence is retained as needed for handling and statutory periods.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. Production hosting should use HTTPS.

This website is directed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly offer services to children.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical, or organisational changes. The current version is always available on this page.
